Linc Energy's Rig at Point Mackenzie

Linc energy continues to work in Point Mackenzie. It’s first drill showed enough potential that they have recently increased their holdings to 181,000 acres of leased land for Underground Coal Gasification, (UCG), exploration.

Their first hole went down to over 6,000 feet and discovered both natural gas and many coal seams. Linc Energy is a leader in technology to make gas out of underground coal so that the coal is left in place and only the gas is pumped to the surface.

Can you imagine the upside of this technology to Alaska which is the Saudi Arabia of coal?

Linc Energy, an Australian company, is making Alaska a major part of their future with a goal to become a player in energy production in the US.
